Children face many adverse childhood experiences—violence, abuse, neglect, loss, and more. The result can be psychological trauma, which interrupts healthy development and can lead to toxic stress responses and mental illness. In this session, participants will explore triggers and the phases of escalation. Participants will also learn research-based strategies to help students manage their triggers.
